Researchers at the University of  San Diego have developed a model of contact lenses that are controlled by eye movement, for example, you blink twice and zoom.

The development of this contact lens is involved in the category of elastic robots or shoft with elastic materials machines, like polymers, plastics, jelly or gels. they didn't have rigid parts or metal to be able to work in humans. Mostly it works with the electricity produced by the human body or by external magnetic fields.

The researchers believe that these type of lenses look for applications in eye prostheses in adjustable contact lenses, distance surgery and in telemedicine.

We'll can also control devices and robots with our eyes, and provide help to people with reduced movility and low vision, since in many cases the eye movement is independent of the ability te see.
